COMMISSION — ‘Cassidy Stantin’.

“Witchy, dark, confident, brash.” - Description of ‘Cassidy’, by the client.

Cassidy is the epitome of dark, feminine energy. I have been commissioned to bring her to life a few times, and every piece has been witchy and darkly divine. She’s a badass, femme fatale gunslinger, and I wanted to capture that energy with her design here. From what I’ve been told about the character, she is a witch, and a darkly inclined one at that. The client requested a commission side on of her staring down a viper, and this was a joy to work on. The sigil in the background is associated with ‘Lilith’, a demonic female entity who has been written about since the Mesopotamian times. Lilith is said to be the ‘mother of all demons’, and given what I know about Cassidy and her inclinations, it felt poignant to include it here. In a lot of the writing about Cassidy’s character, she is very enamoured with blood and sacrifice, hence her thorough coating of claret in this piece.
Like in another piece of Cassidy where I used blue based blacks, here I used red based blacks to create the dimension and colours required.
