COMMISSION — ‘Wyatt Cassidy and Dylan Wilder’.

This is the first piece I did for a long term client of mine, featuring two of his roleplay characters; Wyatt and Dylan. One a grizzled, morally grey lawman, and one a well-meaning, mild-mannered doctor with a secret. The client requested the pose, and that Wyatt be holding a gun, and Dylan the syringe. He had a few ideas for backgrounds, but ultimately they either distracted from the piece or didn’t make sense given the framing of the piece, so we opted for a simple but bold background of mountains and the desert. Both characters are set in a fictional universe in the late 1800s, so when I was drawing the desert background I gave it the Old West style rolling hills and cacti.
